Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in sports coaching and physical education. This role involves instructing students in gymnastics techniques, fostering a safe and positive environment, and encouraging skill development. The Gymnastics Coach will play a vital part in helping students build confidence, improve physical fitness, and develop their gymnastics skills within a supportive setting.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics lessons tailored to various skill levels
- Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam, vault, and floor routines
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and equipment use
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement
- Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and disciplined environment
- Assist with setting up equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of the gym area
- Assist at meets
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence among students
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and achievements
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or childcare settings
- Knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety standards
- Background in related activities
- Strong behavior management skills to handle diverse student needs and maintain discipline
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate young learners
- Certification or training in sports coaching or child development is preferred but not required
- Passion for teaching fitness and encouraging healthy activity among youth
