Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching, teaching, and working with children. This role involves instructing students in gymnastics techniques, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting physical fitness. Experience in related areas such as lifeguard duties, martial arts, cheerleading, or teaching physical education is highly desirable. The Gymnastics Coach will play a vital role in developing students’ skills while ensuring safety and engagement during classes at our health club or gym facility.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam, vault, and floor routines
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve performance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all equipment is used correctly to prevent injuries
- Manage behavior and maintain a positive, encouraging environment for all participants
- Assist with warm-up and cool-down exercises before and after sessions
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize events, competitions, or special classes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the training area and equipment
- Support the development of students’ confidence, coordination, and physical fitness
Experience
- Prior experience working with students in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or childcare settings
- Background in gymnastics or related disciplines such as cheerleading, climbing, judo, karate, swimming, or martial arts is a plus
- Experience in behavior management and creating inclusive learning environments
- Lifeguard experience is advantageous but not required
- Proven ability to teach children effectively while ensuring their safety and engagement
- Knowledge of health club or gym operations is beneficial but not mandatory
