WinnCompanies is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Pool Attendant to join our team at Huntington Woods, a 280-unit market-rate and affordable residential community located in Bristol, CT.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring all activities in the pool area as the designated Winn representative.
Please note that the pay rate for this position is $16.94 per hour. Additionally, please note that this is a temporary, part-time position, which will work approximately 20 hours per week and is not eligible for Winn benefits. This is a seasonal position only, from May through September.

Responsibilities
- Monitor the pool area in order to warn against inappropriate activity and to be cognizant of any need for personal assistance. Control the number of people in the pool to avoid overcrowding. Enforce the property's rules for activity in and around the pool.
- Clean and test the pool each morning before the pool is open, and as needed during and at the end of each day. Ensure the pool area is always clean and in good repair, with the responsibility for calling the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) as needed for maintenance and/or cleaning assistance. Perform various maintenance duties as directed.
- Open and close the pool area at the appropriate times each day the pool is open. Ensure that all gates to the area are locked at the end of each day.
- Facilitate contact of medical services as needed.
- Perform and maintain appropriate activity reports.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in lifeguarding surveillance and rescue technique.
- Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
- CPR/AED certification.
