Top candidates will haveoutstanding presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and aspart of a team.Construction Job Cost Accountant Responsibilities:• Cost Allocation: Assigning costs to various jobs or projects, ensuring that all direct and indirectexpenses are correctly recorded.• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecast for upcomingprojects, ensuring that projects remain within financial limits.• Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost control,and providing insights to management for decision-making.• Job Costing Reports: Preparing detailed reports on job costs, including comparison of actual versusestimated costs, to help project managers monitor and control expenses.• Invoice Verification: Ensuring that invoices for materials, labor, and subcontractors are accurate andproperly allocated to the right jobs or projects.• Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensurethat project costs are tracked in real time and that financial data is accurate.• Compliance: Ensuring all job cost accounting activities comply with company policies, industrystandards, and regulations.Construction Job Cost Accountant Requirements:• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field (essential).• 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential).• Sound understanding of accounting principles.• Solid cost systems background.• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Excellent report-writing, communication, and IT skills.• Foundation Accounting Software• Procore Construction Software• Microsoft Office• Microsoft ExcelCompany DescriptionFor over 20 years Winmar has provided a wide range of Commercial General Contracting services including Preconstruction Estimating, Project Management, Construction Management, as well as Advisory functions to streamline development and foster a holistic and collaborative approach.
