We are seeking a Job Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. Responsibilities:
As our Job Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing all aspects of job costing, including the preparation of accurate and timely job costing reports.
2. Performing cost allocations, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
3. Verifying invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms and company policies.
4. Utilizing Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
5. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Identifying and recommending cost-saving opportunities and strategies.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
9. Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to cost accounting.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Job Cost Accountant position will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Software.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, cost allocation, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Experience in preparing job costing reports and verifying invoices.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not require
