Fort Myers Broadcasting Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role supports our Radio, TV, and Magazine properties by managing the full accounts payable cycle, including processing a high volume of invoices, vendor relations, and financial reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and processing a high volume of invoices
- Maintain accurate records of payments and monitor invoice aging to ensure timely payments
- Manage and maintain positive vendor and supplier relationships
- Reconcile credit card transactions and process expense reports
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Track and manage contractual obligations for compliance and payment scheduling
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Address internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable matters
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounts payable processes
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and levels of management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in media, broadcasting, or a related industry
- Familiarity with contract management and tracking
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers and phones
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
