Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and is committed to delivering high-quality food with consistency and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to Wing-Itz recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (ServSafe standards preferred)
- Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately during high-volume service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team and front-of-house staff
- Assist with prep work, portioning, and inventory as needed
- Properly store food and rotate product (FIFO)
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
