Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport appliances using box trucks and commercial vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries along designated routes
- Install appliances accurately, following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols to guarantee proper operation
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during delivery and setup
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of large appliances, utilizing equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, managing inventory and verifying delivery orders for accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and delivery vehicles
- Complete all required documentation, including delivery logs, installation reports, and safety checklists
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with appliance or furniture deliveries
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, moving appliances safely, and use equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when needed
- Warehouse experience is a plus for managing inventory and loading/unloading efficiently
- Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments with manual labor involved in appliance handling
