What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef for small Wine bar position at Wine on 2nd?
Part Time Position, 20-25h/week
Start time 4pm
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Proper food safety and sanitation practices
Follow all recipes and procedures—all the time—take no shortcuts
Order food stuffs (just-in-time inventory)
Proper inventory control, rotation and traceability procedures—some lifting
required
Proper temperature control for storing food products, ambient, refrigerated and
frozen
Proper temperature control for dishwashing
Proper handling and care of equipment
Enforce and maintain the company’s clean-as-you-go policy
Packing/fulfilling orders on a timely basis
Maintain a respectful, professional and appropriate relationship with all co-
workers, clients and vendors
Follow-up on all work as directed
Responsible for all cleaning and maintenance of a very small kitchen, including
equipment, small wares, plate ware, and any other items requested.
Communicate (in English), interact and support all coworkers within the
company. Attend company meetings as required.
Make recommendations for improving procedures that can benefit the operation
from your observations and experience.
Candidate Requirements
Foodie: We need a candidate that is passionate about food! The candidate
must love to eat and cook for others.
Communication: Must be able to speak, understand and read English.
Experience: 1year
Temperament: The ability to calmly and empathetically listen and politely
respond to customers’ feedback, praise and criticism from a very demanding
young millennial clientele.
High Energy Level: We prefer a candidate who will present new ideas and
concepts without diminishing the culture and legacy of the existing concept.
