Essential Job Functions
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum components together by welding jigs
- Prepare, fit, and align materials prior to welding in welding jigs
- Ensure welded assemblies meet company quality, strength, and cosmetic standards
- Inspect welds and finished parts for accuracy and defects
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, and related fabrication tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain proper weld settings, filler materials, and gas usage for aluminum welding applications
- Maintain workflow to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist with material handling and movement of welded components as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of aluminum TIG welding experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
- Strong understanding of aluminum welding techniques and fit-up processes
- Experience using welding, grinding, and fabrication tools
- Ability to maintain high cosmetic and structural weld quality
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods (more than 2/3 of workday)
- Frequent use of hands for welding, grinding, and handling materials
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and positioning materials
- Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift
Working Conditions
- Indoor manufacturing / welding environment
- Loud noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Non-climate-controlled workspace with exposure to heat and cold
- Exposure to sparks, fumes, aluminum dust, and fabrication materials (with required PPE)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
