Essential Functions:
Windsor High School is seeking a full-time math teacher to join our community and dynamic math
department. This position includes teaching several high school classes and the potential to support
intervention needs. Teaching responsibilities will vary and could include Geometry, Algebra II, Financial
Literacy, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and/or Financial Literacy. Intervention support, where
needed, will focus on providing individual and small group instruction based on student need and work
in collaboration with others in the department. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of
mathematical concepts and instructional practices and demonstrated experience working with
neurodiverse learners in a classroom setting..We seek an enthusiastic, open-minded teacher with a
growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers. The ideal candidate will be a strong,
collaborative team member who is committed to continuing working on their teaching practice through
professional development both individually and as a team. They should be able to listen to both
students and colleagues with the goal of understanding others’ ideas, with an emphasis on reflective
teaching.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree and has a current, or is eligible for, a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate
endorsement. Prior experience in teaching mathematics is preferred, particularly at the secondary level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree in Education preferred or commensurate lived experience
with qualifications
● Proficient technology skills
● Excellent collaboration and behavior management skills
● Understanding of, experience in, and commitment to a Multi-Tiered System of Support
● Ability to promote and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and families
● Confident in one’s ability to manage student intervention plans
● Ability to regularly analyze data and monitor student progress
● Collaboratively plan and coordinate instruction with Special Education staff
● Interest, willingness, and/or experience integrating and advancing practices of diversity, equity
and inclusion
