Director of Operations
Responsibilities:
The Director of Operations is responsible for direction and oversight of the facility environment of care including maintenance, housekeeping, and coordination of outside contractors while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government and regulatory agencies. This individual ensures compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications; and oversees emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans. This position also serves as the facility’s Security Officer, presides over the Safety Committee in the absence of the Risk Manager and is a member of the Quality Council Committee.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations, including project management, process improvement, and business development.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and drive growth.
- Lead and mentor a team of managers and staff to ensure effective execution of operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build successful partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Two years of management experience in a facility environment. Must have experience with reading blueprints and understand the Life Safety Code, NFPA, Joint Commission, Health Department, OSHA and other applicable regulations and standards.
