What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Interventionist/Specialist - Grades 7-12 (Full or part-time) position at Windham Northeast Supervisory Union?
Windham Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a math interventionists/specialist to support 7th through 12th grade students in Bellows Falls Middle School and/or Bellows Falls Union High School. This is an opportunity to join a team of educators who are committed to building a developmentally-appropriate instructional model to support the unique needs of adolescent, emergent mathematicians. We are open to considering a part-time role focusing in one school environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide intervention for students in grades 7-12 who demonstrate a need in mathematics
-Interest in exploring innovative methods for increasing student engagement and motivation
-Establish a warm, engaging and vibrant learning environment
-Administer and interpret benchmark and diagnostic assessments as needed for the purpose of identifying, targeting and meeting students’ academic needs
-Monitor students’ progress and communicate results with instructional teams
-Maintain student data using the district’s local assessment plan
-Promote and reinforce evidence-based instructional practices in the general education classroom through periodic peer-coaching cycles
-Act as a resource for staff, administrators and parents in building an understanding of foundational skill development
-Collaborate with instructional teams to design and implement scaffolds for general education content
-Other duties as assigned by the building principal or Director of Innovation and Instruction
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
-Familiarity and/or experience with scope and sequence of prealgebra and algebra
-Technological skills in the use of Google Suite tools for data tracking and analysis
Salary : $25,000 - $84,551
