Summary:
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills required. Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer skills preferred.
Experience:
- Two (2) years- experience in a hospital or health care related field.
- Greater than two (2) years- experience in a hospital or health care related field, preferably radiology.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to make independent decisions within his/her area of responsibility.
- Good verbal skills in the English language required daily.
- Excellent telephone skills required.
- Ability to learn use of all equipment necessary to perform job.
- Excellent PC skills including data entry required.
- Ability to adapt in fast paced, stressful environment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology to include diagnosis/CPT codes.
- Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary.
- Work is performed in accordance with instruction and procedures, but requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
