JOB SUMMARY
Public Safety Officers serve as front line guardians to the Hartford HealthCare Community by providing customer service and ensuring our environments are safe, secure and more prepared for all of our patients, visitors, colleagues, clinicians and physicians. Public Safety Officers are equipped to prevent hazardous situations with their presence, respond and manage hazardous and emergency situations and provide support and resources when situations are successfully managed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of relevant experience in service to the public or patients (public safety, corrections, first responder, military, mental health worker/technician or other similar healthcare patient facing role)
- Related volunteer or degree programs may be substituted for experience based on hiring manager discretion
- Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
- Valid CT Guard Card or documentation of submission of CT Guard Card application with expectation to receive CT Guard Card within 90 days of hire
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
