Position Summary
The 4th Grade Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering standards-based instruction across core content areas while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. This teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues to provide rigorous and engaging learning experiences that prepare students for success both in and out of the classroom.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with New Hampshire College and Career Ready Standards.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and character development.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Utilize data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning opportunities into daily instruction.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Support and uphold Windham Academy's mission, values, and school culture.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in students.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- New Hampshire teaching certification (or eligibility for certification).
- Knowledge of elementary instructional best practices and child development.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching at the elementary level.
- Familiarity with STEM education and project-based learning.
- Experience integrating educational technology into instruction.
