Deli Manager

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of the deli department of our independent grocery store. To be considered for this position you must have at least 3 years of prior experience in role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for food quality, and the ability to efficiently coordinate various deli functions to ensure smooth store operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily deli department activities, including food preparation, packaging, and display.
• Manage deli staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all deli products meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Implement health and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with store management on promotions, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts.
• Monitor sales performance and adjust operations to meet sales goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety laws and store policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in deli management or a similar food service supervisory role within a grocery setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations pertinent to deli operations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with staff and customers alike.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
