What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g., wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china.)
- Store clean dishes, drinking glasses and equipment appropriately.
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, drinking glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g., detergents) and place orders when necessary.
- Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
- All other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Work experience as a Dishwasher or on Wait Staff.
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines.
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be 18 at time of hire.
- Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must be licensable under the requirements of the Northern Arapaho Gaming Agency.
WORK ENVIROMENT:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Must be able to walk, stand, lift, twist, and bend.
- Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
- Must be able to work in a second-hand smoke, high noise, bright lights, dusty and smoke-filled environment.
