What are the responsibilities and job description for the TOR Outreach Specialist - White Buffalo Recovery Center position at Wind River Family and Community Health Care?
Participate in on-going community outreach, needs assessment, survey implementation, key informant interviews, focus groups and more as needed.
Participate in the delivery of strategic messaging, social marketing, other communication technologies, and community prevention activities.
Maintain outreach logs reflecting outreach activities (not identifying individuals).
Make appropriate referrals to outside sources e.g., health centers, treatment programs, mental health agencies, housing, and other organizations as required, including assisting with the intake process for substance abuse treatment.
Disseminate the opioid overdose antidote, naloxone if needed.
Provide or arrange for participant transportation and other barrier reduction as appropriate.
Comply with all program standards, policies, and safety procedures.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
