What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Psychologist - Behavioral Health position at Wind River Family and Community Health Care?
Responds to referrals from the Behavioral Health and Medical Providers. Provide competent and prompt psychological evaluations to children, adolescent, and adult patients to facilitate the identifying of needed resources and determining treatment recommendations. Provide psychological testing within their scope of practice and completes reports in timely manner. Provides direct patient care to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, as well as perform mental health evaluations. Provides clinical support for the Medical Department and provides consultation services on mental health matters to other WRFCHC professional and allied staff. Refer patients for admission to acute psychiatric inpatient settings when level of care cannot be provided in-house. Coordinates all such referrals and ensures provision of timely follow-up care. Participates with other medical professionals in educating the community and medical staff on mental health issues. Complete all documentation within one week from the date the services were provided to maintain quality and productivity standards, update clinical record, including progress notes and other relevant information, and enters the necessary information into the electronic health record system. Collaborates with WHRFCHC and other Tribal departments for continuity of care. As a team member develop productive and cooperative working relationships with health care providers within the facility as well as allied healthcare and social service providers. Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.
