What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - Custodial Services position at Wind River Family and Community Health Care?
Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the department to ensure the continuity and efficiency of patient care and daily operations. Perform routine cleaning of exam rooms, nursing stations, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner. Perform routine cleaning of high traffic areas of walls, cabinet surfaces, tables, stands and any other furniture and areas as directed. Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: carpet, tile, brick, and concrete flooring. Completes trash, biohazardous linens, and sharps container removal to appropriate disposal area. Maintain inventory of assigned areas cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essential items required to keep all areas functioning. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, and cleaning techniques according to procedure and manufacturers' recommendation. Assists visitors with directions whenever requested. Is trained/cross trained in all facilities to ensure ability to meet workload requirements when staffing shortages and/or vacations reduce staff levels. Report safety hazards as appropriate. Replenishes supplies; notifies supervisor or designee when supplies need to be replenished. Follows all custodial services practices including hand washing techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions. Observe and follow all health and safety regulations at all times. Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
