What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Nurse position at Winchester Public Schools?
Description: Substitute Nurse needed for per diem in grades pre-kindergarten to grade 6.
Job Summary: Duties include taking care of students' routine office visits for illness and injury, daily medication passes, breathing assessment and administration of inhalers, diabetic care for hypo/hyperglycemia as well as insulin administration, etc. These are examples and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of care requirements.
Qualifications: RN License / CPR/BLS certifications required, previous experience preferred but not necessary.
Working Conditions: Nurses are assigned seven and a half hours and substitute nurses should plan to arrive prior to the start of the school day to review the sub binder for daily requirements related to student care.
