As our weekend Inventory/Shipping clerk, you will be a part of a team responsible for various operational duties in the inventory and shipping department. This position requires a high degree of independence, and you will be expected to work on products unsupervised with maximum efficiency. You will support the Lean process to promote cost reductions and maximize profitable growth, provide excellent customer service and quality, and promote Continuous Improvement and Safety.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Shift Availability: Ability to train on the main shift before transitioning to second shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills to support product assembly and manufacturing
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Forklift experience a plus
- Have basic knowledge of using small parcel shipping systems, i.e. UPS, FedEx and ERP systems.
- Capable of working independently, staying on task, and managing multiple priorities with deadlines
- Basic understanding of drawings, work instructions, and computer data entry skills. Will be utilizing software to issue components to build kits with accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to provide feedback
- Have a positive, engaged, and infectious attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture
- Willing to drop off packages to local vendors or shipping facilities
What will you be Accountable for?
- Learn how to read and understand a work order traveler packet
- Responsible for releasing, printing and building kits for the production floor. Inducting parts into inventory and issuing finished goods ready for final inspection.
- Packaging of shipments, processing of shipping labels and dropping off to shipping facilities when needed.
- Understand the layout of an inventory room and inventory locations throughout the facility
- The safe and damage free handling, storing and packaging of all components
- Follows all instructions provided for daily and weekly tasks
- Maintains safe, clean working environment in compliance with Winchester policies and procedures
- Performs all labor, parts and related transactions on time and accurately in compliance with Winchester policies and procedures
- Accurate data entry when performing inventory and shipping transactions

- Work with planning to set priorities and releasing work orders according to scheduling and deadlines.
- Communicate with quality and sales to ensure the proper and timely movement of product to meet OTD metrics.
- Alert engineering to any issues with paperwork or workflow associated with work orders and locations.
- Investigate operational problems affecting production; report and recommend solutions
- Make sure the written process translates into efficient and reliable production and recommend changes to Engineering as required
