What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Office Manager position at Winberg Physical Therapy?
Job Summary:
A growing Physical Therapy practice is looking for someone who has worked in a Physical Therapy office, who can bring a caring and friendly personality to our office.
Must Have Experience:
- Be able to work part-time, on site, 6 hours per day, 4-5 days per week with some flexibility of hours.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in a Physical Therapy office
- Experience with billing and claims submission is essential, including posting payments and remittance
- Calling insurance companies and using online portals to verify insurance
- Physical Therapy EMR systems - specicially patient intake, insurance verifcation, and Workers Compensation authorizations
- Knowledge of ALL insurance compaines in relation to deductibles, copays, and coinsurance and prior authorizations
Additional Tasks:
- Answering patient phone calls regarding billing, explaining charges, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records in electronic and physical format
- Insurance company website searches, to verify benefits
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
- Organizational skills are as well as motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Attention to detail

- Effective communication with patients, insurance companies, and health care providers
- Managing multiple tasks, and prioritizing work in a busy office
- Problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues regarding patient payments
