Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant based in Chicago, IL in a fast pace internal medicine private practice clinic. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in clinical tasks, supporting patient care, managing medical records, and ensuring efficient medical office operations. Daily tasks include patient triage, medical record documentation, preparing examination rooms, venipuncture, processing lab specimens, recording patient history, and providing compassionate assistance to patients and their families. The role requires strong collaboration and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Assisting and familiarity with standard practices in patient care
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and ability to communicate effectively in a clinical setting
- Experience working in a Medical Office and managing patient appointments efficiently
- Skills in maintaining and organizing Medical Records to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide quality care to patients
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is mandatory.
