Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace faulty parts including powertrain components, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and repair procedures accurately.
- Execute wheel alignments, suspension repairs, welding tasks, and other mechanical repairs with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using auto estimating software and adhere to dealership or shop protocols for vehicle service documentation.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration, schematics interpretation, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with powertrain repairs, transmissions, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Service technician experience with auto estimating software is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while working efficiently under pressure.
