We are seeking an experienced and caring Certified Veterinary Technician to support our medical team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing a wide range of technical duties and possess a strong passion for animal care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and performance of various medical procedures and surgeries
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Monitor anesthetized patients and maintain vital signs during procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests (blood work, urinalysis, etc.)
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis
- Provide emergency care and first aid to patients
- Educate pet owners on health and wellness topics
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships
Qualifications:
- State certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) preferred
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for animal care and client education
