What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer / Shop Helper position at Wilson Steel-Fab and Machine?
Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m.
We’re looking for a dependable person to help with a variety of general shop and production tasks.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and wipe down steel parts for painting
- Assist with general shop and production tasks
- Help with light facility maintenance and lawn care as needed
- Move and handle materials and parts
- Follow instructions and work independently
- Learn new tasks and help wherever needed
What we’re looking for:
- Dependable and willing to work
- Comfortable performing physical work in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or shop experience is helpful, but not required—we’re willing to train the right person.
This is a temporary part-time position, but there is potential for the position to lead to permanent full-time employment.
