Position Overview
Bristol Steel is seeking a dependable General Shop Laborer to support our fabrication and production team. This position assists with daily shop operations and helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Assist welders and fitters with material handling and setup
- Load, unload, and move steel materials
- Operate hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Clean and organize work areas
- Perform basic grinding, cutting, and material prep
- Help with inventory and material staging
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous shop, warehouse, or constructions experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred
