What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist/Receptionist position at Wilson County Schools, TN?
Qualified applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Secondary education is preferred.
Must have at least one (1) year of comparable work experience, and be proficient with computers and software such as Google Sheets and Docs, and Microsoft Office. Must have a working knowledge of office equipment, including fax machines, scanners, and printers. Accounting and/or budgeting skills is also preferred.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as HR Receptionist;
- Answers/screens and routes incoming calls or emails in a timely manner;
- Maintains a log of all calls/messages/visitors for the HR Department;
- Answers questions and provides assistance for applicants and employees, both on the phone and in person;
- Schedules meetings, sets appointments, and maintains calendar for HR department;
- Assists Deputy Director on a daily basis in preparing documents, copying, scanning, filing, and assisting employees, applicants, and others;
- Assists HR supervisors in New Teacher Orientation, Meet and Greet Events, the Wilson County Career Fair and other HR or recruitment events;
- Orders and monitors supplies needed for department;
- Maintains purchase orders/requisitions and budget for HR department;
- Assists the Records Custodian in filling the Open Records Requests;
- Complete verification of employment forms for lending agencies and banks;
- Complete verification of employment for background reference inquiries;
- Assists with fingerprinting and drug screening appointments; and
- Assists with employee ID badges.
This is a full-time, 12-month assignment with insurance and retirement benefits. Pay rate will be determined by approved, comparable work experience and placement on Grade 7 of the Salaried Classified Pay Schedule. The salary will be no less than $43,906 per year.
