What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Service Planner/Evaluator I position at Wilson County Government?
The Wilson County Health Department is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support key administrative functions within the agency.
This role is responsible for coordinating accreditation, policy review, grant monitoring, HIPAA compliance, staff training, and customer satisfaction activities. The position ensures the department meets regulatory and operational standards.
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (occasional overtime as needed)

A. Accreditation 25%
•Serve as coordinator for health department accreditation activities. Develop and implement a plan to meet accreditation benchmarks.
•Provide oversight and direct the proper implementation of the accreditation process.
•Accreditation occurs every four years; more time is spent on accreditation in the site visit year.
•Upload information to Dashboard
•Attend office accreditation hours monthly and other trainings offered when appropriate.
•Monitor dashboard to ensure each year of activities are complete.
B. Policy Review Coordination 25%
•Policy Committee chair – schedule meetings to review admin., agency, employee health, and personnel policies. Every policy is to be reviewed at least annually.
•Work with office assistant to make updates/changes to reviewed policies.
•Assure policies align with accreditation standards.
•Ensure that all staff, including contracted, volunteers and students are informed of where policies are located (agency drive and printed manuals)
C. Grant Monitoring 20%
•Manage and coordinate assessment, evaluation, and reporting for state and private grant funds.
•Adhere to deadlines for reimbursement, reporting deadlines
•Communicate with recipients of grant funds to ensure compliance with stated goals and deliverables of grant awards
D. HIPAA 20%
•Serve as HIPAA and Security Officer
•Attend HIPAA training annually.
•Update Notice of Privacy Practices when needed.
•Investigate breaches and report to HRSA if required.
•Lead person during the HIPAA risk assessment when provided by vendor.
E. Staff Development 10%
•Coordinate with personnel technician during new hire orientation to ensure training is provided for HIPAA, health disparities/cultural competency, customer satisfaction, Title X, mandatory reporting
•Assist in all annual trainings, collecting certificates, obtaining confidentiality agreements annually
•Assist with orienting volunteers, students, and interns on required trainings.
F. Customer Surveys 5%
•Distribute and collect customer satisfaction surveys quarterly.
•Compile data and report to management team, board of health.
Salary : $54,516 - $92,124
