PURPOSE STATEMENT:
This individual is responsible for providing therapeutic assistance to patients and functions as a direct liaison to the Director of Counseling regarding the status of the therapeutic community.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One or more years’ experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
- 6 months experience performing the duties of a BHA II preferred.
- CPR / CPI (Offered at facility).
- Current driver’s license—Good DMV record.
- Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
- Ability to work with male/female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed/opiate dependent population. Must be able to work with culturally diverse populations.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One or more years’ experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
- 6 months experience performing the duties of a BHA2 preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training offered by facility).
