Purpose of the JobThe HR Assistant is responsible for supporting and coordinating day-to-dayHR operations while managing designated tasks and projects. This position involves performing a variety of human resources duties,ranging from basic to semi-complex tasks, while adhering to establishedlaws, rules, policies, and regulations.Benefits you can count on:Paid Vacation• Paid Sick Time• Six paid Holidays• 401K Plan after 90 days• Medical Benefits• Dental Benefits• FSA• Voluntary Vision• Voluntary Accident Insurance• Voluntary Hospital Indemnity• Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance• Company-paid life insurance, Short Term Disability, Long TermDisabilityEssential FunctionsEssential Functions and Responsibilities• Compliance & Confidentiality• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws,regulations, and company policies.Maintain confidentiality of employee data (both electronic and paper)and protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.• Demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality and maintainprofessional boundaries.• Conduct internal audits• Schedule and coordinate HR-related activities and training• Assists the HR Manager with management of the Company's benefitsand benefits vendors.• Managing the onboarding process, providing training, and educatingnew employees on HR policies.• Administrative support of the HR department.• Assist with the development and implementation of staff trainingBenefits:• Assist with the management of the benefit platform to ensure accurateand compliant processing of benefit enrollments, changes, andterminations for approval.• Maintain relationship with benefit carriers and TPA to provide excellentprocessing experience and issue resolution for employees• Coordinate yearly Open Enrollment, ensure accuracy of enrollment andapprove changes• Update Payroll Profiles for all benefit enrollments. Making changeswhen necessary.• Audit benefit invoices monthly and submit to accounting for costallocation, or payment• Track missed payroll deductions and make the necessary adjustmentsWorkers Compensation:• Assist with the administration of the workers compensation programto ensure compliance with insurance reporting standards, applicablelaws and appropriate follow up to ensure a prompt return to work orother actions to be taken• Monitor claims, communicate with TPA,• Attend risk control meetings twice annually.Payroll:• Stay updated on Federal & State laws affecting PayrollAssist the Payroll Manager when necessary• Conduct internal Audits• Ensure compliance with ACA (Affordable Care Act) requirementsand the distribution of necessary ACA forms.• Audit WFN for missing / incorrect EE information affecting potentialACA trending assessment• Proper auditing for preparation of 1095-CKnowledge and Skills• Broad knowledge of State and Federal employment laws, rules, andregulations governing HR practices.• Knowledge of departmental procedures, policies, and guidelines.• Familiarity with state and federal employment laws.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with skills in Excel.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Working knowledge of ADP WFN system• Ability to handle confidential matters using discretion and goodjudgement ensuring confidentiality and integrity• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalrelationships.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.• Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate, as well as in a teamenvironmentQUALIFICATIONS / Requirements• Prior experience in compensation and benefits administration isrequired.• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources / Union payroll experiencewith working knowledge of ADP WFN is a must.Pay Range 65,000 – 80,000Company DescriptionWe’re Willwork, a trusted partner in event solutions.
