Therapy Aide Glen Category Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Position Type FT - FT 36-40 Hours Location : Address 675 Willow Valley Square Location : Location US-PA-Lancaster Overview Willow Valley Communities is hiring a Therapy Aide to assist therapy patients, prepare patients for physical, occupational and speech therapy treatments by performing the following duties; and provides supportive services to entire rehabilitation team. Transports patients to and from therapy sessions. Attends to personal needs of the patients. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment. Observes patients waiting for or during therapy. Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direct eye contact of physical therapist. Assists with routine treatments such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, and paraffin bath, if in direct eye contact of therapist. Ability to work effectively as a Team Member. Cleans work area and equipment regularly, including disinfecting equipment. Restocks linens and supplies. Demonstrates good organizational, time management, and planning skills. Inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment. Assist in scheduling of Residents and Therapists for screens, evaluations and treatments. Performs clerical duties, such as answering telephone, taking messages, faxing and filing paperwork.
