What You’ll Do
You’ll support the daily maintenance needs of our community, including:
General & Preventive Maintenance
- Respond to and complete assigned service requests using our CMMS system
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, kitchens, healthcare buildings, core buildings, and residential spaces
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, window systems, and appliances
- Maintain DOH and Life Safety inspection documentation
Systems & Equipment
- Learn and assist with the Simplex fire alarm system and call bell systems
- Gain familiarity with emergency valve locations (HVAC, sprinkler, water, steam)
- Acquire foundational knowledge of mechanical equipment (generators, pumps, boilers, kitchen equipment, cooling towers, etc.)
- Conduct routine testing of emergency/safety equipment (fire extinguishers, generators, emergency lighting)
Community Support
- Assist with snow removal and event setups/teardowns
- Move furniture for resident transitions
- Wash and provide basic care for company vehicles
- Keep the shop area clean and organized
- Replace light bulbs proactively
- Provide emergency response for fire alarms, ambulance calls, and support nursing as needed
- Complete tasks with thorough cleanup and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of related experience in building or facilities maintenance
- Basic knowledge of interior building systems
- Ability to use email and Windows‑based applications
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests, and maintain a strong customer‑focused attitude with our residents
- A team player willing to grow and learn
