What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Prospect Leasing & Management?
We have an opening in our maintenance department for our established multi-site property management business. This full-time position assists in all phases of maintenance operations on residential apartments & office space throughout Lancaster County and Eastern York County. Additionally, your strong communication and customer service skills will be vital in collaborating with team members and addressing tenant needs, making you a key contributor to our organization's success
Responsibilities include:
· Assess & prioritizes work
· Maintains equipment, tools, supplies and work materials
· Complete work orders as assigned
· Ensures quality of work duties performed
· Notifies Maintenance Coordinator and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
· Maintains a working knowledge of utility sources and supply lines
· Performs maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all properties as assigned
· Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager
· Work safely and efficiently
· Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors and fellow employees
- Purchase supplies and materials to complete jobs
· Assist from time-to-time in other duties, such as inspections
· Will be available for periodic on-call weekend/evening as necessary
· Keep private information and keys secure & confidential
The right candidate should have the following qualifications:
· Minimum High School Education or equivalent
· Minimum three (5) years full time maintenance experience
· Willingness to perform all assigned tasks with good work and safety habits
· Strong teamwork skills
· Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
· Willing to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc.
· Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliance and other building systems
· Well organized and prompt
· Ability to work independently and in conjunction with others
· Must provide own basic tools and take care with company vehicle and specialty tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
