What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Tennis Pro Shop Desk Attendant position at Willow Oaks Country Club?
Willow Oaks Country Club is seeking a qualified, friendly, and customer service oriented individual to join our Tennis department as a part-time Tennis Shop Desk Attendant. Tennis experience and knowledge preferred, but not required. This position pays an hourly rate of $15. Uniforms are provided as well as free lunch and dinner daily.
Shifts Needed:
- Saturday: 7am-2pm
- Sunday: 7am-2pm
- Strong candidates will have availability on some holidays.
Responsibilities/Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greet members as they enter the tennis facility and provide top-notch customer service by answering questions and anticipating needs
- Answer phones and take court reservations
- Exhibit basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ring up point-of-sale transactions for tennis rackets, balls, clothing, shoes, beverages, snacks, etc.
- Ability to handle money, process credit/debit cards/gift certificates, use a cash register for transactions and balance a cash sheet
- Assist in conducting inventory and maintain adequate merchandise supply levels
- Follow opening and closing procedures; act as a key holder for the facility.
- Refill water coolers with ice, water and cups
- Basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming floors in pro shop before closing and taking out trash
- Laundering and folding towels
- Basic court maintenance such as brushing/raking & lining outdoor clay courts and using vacuum or leaf blower to clean indoor courts
Candidates must be able to:
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Pass drug test and background check prior to starting
ABOUT US
Willow Oaks Country Club is a 60 year old, member owned club with 940 member families. Athletic facilities include 18-hole golf course with practice facilities; eight lighted outdoor and four indoor tennis courts; fitness facilities and a 25-meter swimming pool. Dining facilities include a formal dining room and lounge; member grill and bar; banquet rooms; several private rooms in the historic main house and a pool snack bar. The club is open six/seven days per week, 12 months per year and is located in the heart of Richmond on the banks of the historic James River.
