Responsibilities
General responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist golfers and visitors with their needs, providing a high level of customer service.
- Sell golf equipment, apparel, accessories, and other merchandise in the Pro Shop, ensuring an organized and inviting sales floor.
- Assist with tee-time reservations, check-in golfers, and ensure accurate records are maintained for rounds played.
- Assist with stocking shelves, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that the shop is properly organized and clean.
- Process transactions for tee times, golf carts, rental clubs, other equipment, and products. Ensuring proper tracking of rentals and communication with supervisors and outside staff.
- Assist with organizing and managing golf tournaments and events, including checking in participants, assisting with scoring, and providing event materials.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card payments, and receipts.
- Maintain knowledge of golf products, services, and promotions to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and assist with other duties assigned by the Professional Golf Staff as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a golf-related environment
- Passion for golf and knowledge of golf equipment and apparel is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
