Seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and creating beautiful floral arrangements for customers, events, and the retail store. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, excellent customer service skills, 2 year or more experiance working in a retail florist shop and is proficient in preparing flowers for funeral, wedding and everyday occasions.
Responsibilities
Design, create, and sell standard and custom floral arrangements.
Consult with customers to understand their preferences and budgetary needs for various occasions. Must have computer skills to enter orders and navigating pos systems.
Unpack, process, and organize new flower deliveries.
Assist with plant care, cleaning and maintaining the storefront.
Participate in event setup and breakdown, which may include lifting and delivery.
Qualifications
Required:
2 years or more experiance in professional floral design including funerals and weddings
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Manual dexterity and physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Hours and Availability
Part time position : One to two 4 hour shifts during regular weeks and 20 hours on florist holiday weeks including Christmas, Valentines and Mother's day. Covering vacation for other staff members during the year.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
