Sales Associate- Lexington NC

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in maintaining the store's appearance, managing stock, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash responsibly.
• Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure that merchandise is well-displayed on the sales floor.
• Supervise inventory levels and assist with restocking shelves as needed.
• Engage customers with product demos and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding promotions, product features, and store policies.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
• Familiarity with supervising stock levels and maintaining inventory accuracy is a plus.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products is highly valued.
