Duties
- Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform routine equipment repairs, welding, and maintenance using hand tools and power tools to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring for livestock including horses and other farm animals.
- Handle animal care responsibilities with attention to safety and humane treatment, including animal handling and managing breeding or growing programs.
- Conduct general farm maintenance such as fencing repairs, and landscape management using hand tools and small power tools.
- Support growing operations by monitoring crop health, caring for animals and by keeping the grounds clean.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or skills in a farm or agricultural setting is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.
- Strong animal husbandry skills including animal handling, care routines, and basic veterinary knowledge.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively for maintenance tasks.
- Welding skills or experience with equipment repair are advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
