Role Description The Project Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Mobile, AL, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on commercial and industrial roofing projects. This role coordinates crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations. The Project Superintendent conducts site inspections, monitors installation methods, and ensures compliance with project specifications, building codes, and company safety policies. This position works closely with project managers, clients, and inspectors to resolve issues, track progress, and support accurate documentation and reporting. The role also includes managing jobsite logistics, assisting with cost control, and promoting a professional and respectful work environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and manage day-to-day field operations.
- Candidates should possess commercial construction experience, preferably in roofing or building envelope projects, with familiarity in project sequencing and site logistics.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including the ability to read plans, interpret specifications, and verify workmanship against industry standards.
- Candidates should possess construction safety knowledge, including OSHA practices, hazard identification, and enforcement of company safety policies.
- Candidates should possess budgeting and cost-awareness skills to support project managers with tracking labor, materials, and change orders.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication skills, proficiency with basic computer and mobile applications, valid driver’s license, and prior experience as a foreman or superintendent.
