Intensive Paraeducator Needed
Location: Williston Central School

Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking a full-time, energetic Intensive Paraeducator to join our special education team starting the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a skilled, caring individual to provide intensive support in the areas of multi-layered curriculum, communication, and behavior across all school settings.
This position is vital to our mission of ensuring all students achieve grade-level expectations through specialized support and inclusive practices. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for student growth and a positive contributor to our collaborative school community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing direct, intensive support for students in the areas of multi-layered curriculum or curriculum overlapping.
- Facilitating communication, behavioral support, and activities of daily living across various school settings.
- Promoting child growth by fostering independence and self-advocacy.
- Collaborating closely with the special education team and classroom teachers to align support with student needs.
- Supporting students during transitions, which may include the bus ride to and/or from school.
- Thriving within a teaming environment, working independently when needed while maintaining high levels of collaboration.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues regarding student progress and instructional goals.
