Job Summary
Under basic supervision, patrols high school facilities and parking areas to enforce Williston Basin School District #7 policies. Protects school property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry; monitors students and visitors.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Patrols WBSD#7 facilities, and inspects internal and external doors, bathrooms, classrooms, storage rooms, school grounds, vehicles, and parking lots; maintains security event logs.
Investigates and reports unusual conditions; confronts unauthorized persons, and questions their presence; calls SRO for assistance according to WBSD#7 policies.
Patrols parking lots
for unauthorized vehicles, and issues tickets for violations within the scope
of authority.
Monitors student behavior, identifies safety and security issues, and warns violators of rule infractions.
Works with the building Principals and Assistant Principals, others as delegated by Principals
Supports the relationship between the WBSD#7 and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and District staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and District information; follows compliance rules governing child abuse; performs related duties as required or assigned.

Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of experience working with public safety; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
