Seeking a Primary Stroke Care Coordinator at WK Bossier. The Primary Stroke Coordinator is responsible for development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the hospital’s Primary Stroke Program. This role ensures compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards, coordinates multidisciplinary stroke care, drives performance improvement initiatives, and supports staff education to optimize patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing all components of the Primary Stroke Program, maintaining readiness for Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center certification, ensuring adherence to AHA/ASA guidelines and evidenced-based stroke care standards. You will be responsible for monitoring stroke quality metrics, conducting chart audits, and analyzing data trends. Education to staff is an integral part of this position. You will help coordinate the WKH Stroke Academy as well as provide ongoing education to all staff members and participate in community educational events.
A BSN with 3–5 years of acute care nursing experience is ED or Critical Care is preferred.
