Our 23-bed Medical-Surgical Unit is seeking a dedicated and flexible PRN Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with a wide variety of medical and postsurgical needs. This role is ideal for a skilled RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a supportive, team-focused group of clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across diverse diagnoses and acuity levels.
- Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and wound care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and health management.
- Respond effectively to rapid changes in patient condition and assist during emergencies.
- Support unit flow, admissions, and discharges.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred; Med-Surg experience strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on unit needs
