What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Staff position at Willis - Knighton Health System?
WK Bossier has 12 LDRP rooms, 5 Postpartum/Antepartum rooms, 2 C-section operating rooms, and a Level 1 Nursery. We are seeking an RN with 2-3 years of labor and delivery experience. The RN will be providing nursing care to routine obstetrical patients, routine postpartum patients and routine newborn care. Responsibilities will also include circulating in the operating room and recovery care for post-anesthesia patients following C-sections. The RN will also rotate through postpartum and nursery as needed. AWHONN staffing guidelines are followed, with the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1-2 for L&D/antepartum and 3 couplets for PP/Nsy care. The experienced RN selected for this position will have an extensive orientation with a preceptor. Nurses transferring to this unit are also afforded an orientation tailored to their specific needs. ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. are preferred but can be obtained through our Training and Development Center free of charge to hospital employees.
