EFFECTIVE: ASAP – 6/26/26 (Annual Appointment)

• Experience teaching elementary, grades K-6
• Familiarity with programs with AIMS Web Assessment platform as well as formative oral reading and comprehension assessments;
• Familiarity with research connected to the Science of Reading and the dynamics of a Structured Literacy Block;
• Demonstrated ability to organize the classroom setting to enhance learning and establish rules that clarify expectations;
• Demonstrated ability to motivate students to do their best work and inspire a love of learning

Possess a solid commitment to professional learning and commitment to contribution to the school community

• Willing to participate in Professional Development
• Experience with the implementation of the Common Core Standards, NYSE, ELA and Math Modules and instructional strategies
• Experience implementing Common core aligned units, lesson and assessments
• Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies and lessons
• Strong math and literacy background
• Character traits necessary to teach young children – enthusiasm, warmth and dedication
• Ability to differentiate instruction
• Strong communication and teaming skills
• Lifelong learner

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Small group
• Data analysis
• Record keeping – student progress
• Ability to plan instruction to meet student needs
• Ability to co-teach in “push-in” setting

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

ANNUAL SALARY: $18,172 - $20,674 Per WTA Contract
