Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and replenishing amenities to ensure a pristine environment.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and guest clothing with care.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers to maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Apply proper handling and usage of chemical agents following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to ensure safe working conditions.
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning public areas like hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and elevators with attention to detail.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning equipment movement while adhering to manual handling safety practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks; familiarity with chemical handling procedures is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or janitorial processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance is highly desirable.
