Job Overview
The PRIMARY ROLE of the Personal Lines Account Care Representative (“CSR”) is to be available to assist current Personal Lines clients with billing, claims, changes and questions to their policy. They must be able to speak with both the customer and carrier with expertise regarding an account. This role requires that they be proficient in the areas of insurance carrier billing, change requests, claims and identification of policy upsell opportunities.
Prior experience is not required.
Duties
- Handle incoming calls, assisting clients or routing them as needed.
- Process billing inquiries and facilitate premium payments.
- Manage policy change requests for vehicles, homeowners, and other coverages.
- Provide initial loss reporting support and claims process guidance.
- Identify potential upsell opportunities during customer interactions.
- Document all client interactions in our Customer Management System (CMS).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and web navigation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn through on-the-job training and agency-provided courses.
- Completion of our in-agency "Insurance 101" course (provided during onboarding).
On-Job Training
- Insurance 101 information and training on insurance products.
- Training in policy information and how to quote business with our carriers.
- Processing policy change requests and payments with carriers.
- HawkSoft Client Management System.
- Will be required to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license in Ohio within 90-120 days of hire. All pre-licensing education and testing fees are paid by the agency.
